best-of-2008: Addyson was delivered so quickly that I nearly missed it while reading in the waiting room. This image, taken just seconds after entering the room, shows Robyn and Johnnie Ostermeyer welcoming their baby girl into the world at 9:48 a.m. It was one of the last pictures taken during a series that documented life on U.S. 20 in northern Nebraska. The South Sioux City family went across the river to St. Luke's hospital in Sioux City, Iowa, on March 5, for their birth.
